Ultra Light Plus Hospital Bed, Brown, 36 by Drive Medical

The Drive Medical Ultra-Light Plus Model is a semi-electric bed that is lightweight, interchangeable, and easy to assemble. This bed comes with full side rails for added safety. Featuring new universal style head and foot boards with high impact composite end panels, the foot section of this bed weighs 50 percent less than traditional foot sections, making deliveries safer and easier.

Assembly of this bed only requires five components, and even the motor assembly can be installed or removed without the need for tools while the patient is still in the bed. The single motor and junction box are self-contained to reduce noise and prevent disruptions. In case of a power failure, a 9-volt battery located in the motor can lower the head and foot sections up to nine times without the need for a crank. The hand pendant has been improved with easy-to-use controls, and the bed also includes full side rails for additional safety.

With a channel frame construction and zinc-coated spring deck, this bed provides superior strength and reduced weight. The bed frame is compatible with Drive's and most other manufacturers' bed ends, whether old or new. The transition box allows for changing the rotation of the high/low shaft, and once installed, the high/low shaft remains with the bed to prevent loss.

The motor is self-contained to reduce weight and noise and is capable of lowering the head and foot sections in case of a power failure using the 9V battery. The bed has a weight capacity of 450 lbs and features wood grain panels that are break and scratch resistant. The headboard is taller than the footboard to better fit home decor.

Labels and color-coded springs ensure the accurate installation of side rails for patient safety, and the bed, side rails, and mattress have been safety-tested by SGS, a nationally recognized testing facility. This bed complies with all applicable FDA entrapment guidelines and is UL approved.
